Hi there,
So here we are, the end of another fizz bang whomp wallowing year (too much BFG* for me this week!). What I mean to say is, I could not have predicted what a ride 2025 was going to be 12 months ago. Which gives me butterflies in my tummy to think what 2026 may hold in store for us all.
My paintings lately have become very very wintery, I am getting more affected by the seasons as the months go by. I am totally going with this narrative and intend to elaborate as we go through the year. Reflection for 2025 is ongoing, I will take some time to look back through my photos of this year, to see where I have come from and to give me an idea of where I am right now and of course planning on where I would like to be next year. I recommend doing this, as a family or solo, just to take stock and get your own butterflies buzzing around for what is to come.
Among other things, you will be able to see me painting on TV in January, which is not something I get to say every day! I will send details on time, date and channel in early January. Sky Landscape Artist of the Year was one of those ‘what the ***’ moments from this year, I may have to watch with the sound turned down, I can’t remember what I talked about with the judges, and I’m pretty sure there were ‘jazz hands’ from me at one point (cringe). Not sure I’m made for TV, but boy it was fun trying.
Right, nearly time for me to sign off, hello to my new subscribers, it was great to meet you at the Wimbledon Art Fair in November. For my other subscribers, thank you for your support and feedback as always.
Wishing you a truly Merry Christmas time and a peaceful and phizz whizzing 2026!
Alison
