The dust is settling after a great weekend. I had The dust is settling after a great weekend. I had so many awesome conversations with art lovers.. Thankyou for coming to see us, braving train strikes and thunderstorms. I am thrilled my large pieces have garnered such positive feedback - I love doing them, and feel inspired and supported to keep doing them! Just finalising frames and little details before delivering these two biggies (Bantham and my Heart Soars & Beach Dinghy as dawn breaks) and a couple of littlies to their new owners. Thankyou again, if there is work you are interested in, drop me a line. @wimbledon_art_studios #wimbledonartfair #londonart #abstractart

Meet the Artist: Alison Clarke | Studio 208 🖌️

Alison Clarke is a contemporary painter based in Wimbledon, whose creative journey has taken her through photography, drawing and painting. Her paintings reflect her life experiences, mostly land and seascapes mapped in semi-abstract form, with colours and textures that fascinate and resonate with her. Her works draw you in with their subtlety and challenge you with taut contrasts, creating a depth that is both dramatic and thoughtful. Art is a space where time slows down and her paintings can transport you to another place. ✨

Alison's love for the ocean shines through in her work, using the sea and the shore she portrays a sense of place and rugged nature. Her works are both an emotional response to the environment and a way of exploring the freedom and space she finds in that place where the land meets the ocean and the sky. Her paintings capture the ever-changing rhythms and seasons of the coast, from the simple joy of beachcombing to the promise of unknown adventure on the horizon. 🌊
